Why is Recycle Water?
Friday, October 15, 2010
Why is recycling water important? It is important because about 75 percent of earth is covered in water. It sounds like a lot, but only one percent of that is freshwater, available for serving the water needs of over 6.6 billion people in the world today. Because of drought & pollution, that one percent is slowly dwindling. To make matters worse, the world's population continues to grow, increasing the demand for water. In Southern Los angeles, over 66 percent of our water supply is imported from outside of the region. With these statistics, they hope that you, , will see the worth & importance of recycled water.
Did you know that all the water here today is the same water that was here in the days of the dinosaurs? Lack of information & abundance of misconceptions have been the largest obstacles in our efforts to truly understand the safety & quality of recycled water.
